At the PATINFO2011, 30 internationally renowned experts of intellectual property will speak on "limits of intellectual property." The PATINFO is Germany's biggest conference and exhibition on patent information and intellectual property. It takes place for the 33rd time on June 9th and 10th , 2011, at the Festhalle in Ilmenau and is organized by the National Patent Center at TU Ilmenau Thüringen PATON. At the scientific symposium, 350 participants are expected.

Presentations include the latest findings and methods of intellectual property, patent information and the valuation and utilization of patents. Particularly noteworthy are the seminal papers of the President of the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), Cornelia Rudloff-Schäffer, and the principal director patent information of the European Patent Office (EPO), Richard Flammer.

A particularly in Asia steadily increasing number of patent applications under the same working capacity of employees of the patent offices and patent information in the industry is on limitations in process ability, assessment and analysis of patent information. The PATINFO2011 introduces innovative approaches to address these challenges with new tools and standardization.

The geographical aspect of "linits in the patent system" in the conference is discussed accordingly: Discussions on topics such as globalization, patent systems of the ASEAN (Southeast Asia), litigation in China and cross-border workers invention rights will be held alongside lectures on industrial designs (design protection) and trade marks.

In addition to the main program, participants at the PATINFO2011 can expect an extensive series of workshops, their content is designed together with competent partners, such as the German, Austrian and the European Patent Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the database cluster for scientific and technical specialist and patent information STN International, the consulting firm WissensWert and database specialists Questel.
